Enhance your musical abilities with Sensory Perfect Pitch, a training program that utilizes synesthetic associations to develop the coveted skill of perfect pitch. Absolute pitch, the ability to identify and recreate musical notes without a reference tone, can be nurtured through the use of color and haptic feedback. Perfect Pitch is a cognitive psychology-based approach that allows you to associate colors and haptics with each musical pitch, creating a unique cross-sensory experience known as synesthesia.
Perfect Pitch offers a range of features designed to support your mastery of this skill. You can play pitches and songs while the associated colors illuminate, providing visual reinforcement. The program includes fifteen built-in melodies, songs, and scales for you to train with. Pitches and colors are presented in the Circle of Fifths, allowing for intuitive learning. You also have the flexibility to choose custom color associations that feel right to you.
In addition, Perfect Pitch offers different haptic feedback options. Soft haptics are used for natural notes, while rigid haptics are employed for sharps and flats. To further tailor your training experience, the Playback Settings allow you to modify training parameters for each song. You can organize the set and order of songs in the Library according to your practice preferences.
It is worth noting that Perfect Pitch was initially developed by students at the Georgia Institute of Technology while collaborating with ubiquitous computing researchers. However, please be aware that this app is not officially affiliated with the Institute.
